WHAT IS CROWDSOURCING
Crowdsourcing refers to the process of gathering information and other resources from a community of individuals, allowing them to contribute their knowledge to the development of digital library content.
As part of the M.E.L.O.S. research project, crowdsourcing has been integrated as a community engagement process. This approach enables experts in Greek music history and the work of Mikis Theodorakis (specifically, the Mikis Theodorakis Score Archive) to contribute to its enrichment—whether by adding new archival materials or by enhancing existing information and metadata.
For example, you can send us material related to M.E.L.O.S., including:
- Digital photographs of musicians related to their artistic activity
- Concert-related documents, such as programs and posters
- Musical scores
- Record labels
SUBMISSION PROCESS FOR METADATA & DOCUMENTS
Using the form below, you can contribute to the enrichment of the project's metadata. If you have additional or different information about the musical entities within the project—such as musicians, organizations, works, scores, recordings, etc.—you may enter your details in the relevant field of the form.
All submitted information must be properly documented to be accepted by the M.E.L.O.S. research team.Additionally, if you wish to contribute archival materials, you must be the holder/owner of the intellectual property rights to ensure that their publication is legally permissible.
Once your submission is received, specialized members of the M.E.L.O.S. project team will review and integrate the information into the project's entities or create new ones if necessary. In any case, you will be informed regarding the acceptance or rejection of your contribution.
